The Statue of Unity is a monument which is framed in the memory of great leader Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. He was known as the Ironman of India. It is located in Gujarat with a height of 182 meters facing the Narmada Dam. It is estimated that this statue will occupy almost 20000 square meters of the area and will also be surrounding a wide range of artificial lake. The attention towards this epic project was drawn by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Rashtriya Ekta Trust (SVPRET). Its construction was started on 31 October 2014 with an estimated amount of 2,989 crores and will end approx mid-October 2018. This statue is about to be inaugurated on 31st October 2018 by our honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This announcement was made by the Chief Minister of Gujarat Vijay Rupani in mind September 2018.

As Sardar Patel himself was born in a farmer’s family, what else could be more satisfying than watching this? It brings our hearts high that till date around 1, 69,000 Loha kits have been collected by the farmers.
